How to Play Video Poker
If you have any small understanding of how card games work then you will have no problem understanding Video Poker. Video Poker is basically a computerized version of Poker which you play against yourself.
Potential Video Poker Jackpots and Versions
There are many different versions of Video Poker available to play online, each with some small subtle differences such as the winning hands and payouts. The principles for each game are all the same. The aim of Video Poker is to get as high a hand as possible and therefore win the largest amount of money. The largest jackpot for most basic Video Poker games is 4000 x the value of your coin bet, so if you have used a coin value of $10 you stand to win $40000!
Winning Hands in Video Poker
The hands in Video Poker are the same as regular Poker; the Royal Flush is a 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace the entire same suit. A Straight Flush is five consecutive cards of the same suit; Full House is made up of a hand of three cards from the same suit and two cards from another suit but also must be the same suit. A flush is 5 cards of the same suit but not in any order and a straight is consecutive cards of different suits. Four of a kind, three of a kind, two pairs and Jacks or better, speak for themselves.
Drawing and Choosing Your Cards with Video Poker
Once you have decided on the amount that you want to bet all that is left for you is to draw the cards by hitting the "draw" button. Five cards are then drawn in front of you and you get the chance to choose which cards to hold and which cards to release for another draw. Once you have chosen which cards to release, you can draw again and wait in anticipation for the results. Depending on what your final hand is will determine the value of your win; some games also give you the chance to gamble your win for more money.
More Versions of Video Poker
Video Poker is a simple and easy game to play and understand. If you want a little more excitement, then you can try the Power Poker which has more than one set of cards in the screen up to 100 and your bet is divided amongst these. Video Poker is basically a Slot machine version of Poker but the difference is you do have a say in the outcome of the game by what you choose to hold or release, making it more exciting, fast moving and fun to play.
